Italian traffic fine catalogue
Every table is built on the text of the article. Where the statute sets no maximum for a row, the column stays empty.

Categories with no rows yet
These categories carry measured demand and have no rows extracted to the traceability we insist on. They stay reachable, but we do not advertise a table that is not there: the page says what is missing and what will fill it.

How to read these tables
Every table on this site shows a corridor and a payable figure, and the distinction is the whole point. The corridor is the range the article itself fixes, from its minimum to its maximum. The payable figure is the minimum, because art. 202 makes the minimum the sum that closes the matter within 60 days. Where the statute fixes no maximum for a row, the column stays empty rather than carrying an invented ceiling.
The points column is read from the table annexed to art. 126-bis, which is a separate instrument from the sanctioning article and does not always address its rows the same way. Where there is no row, the column is empty and the page says so — an absence in the source, not a gap in our reading.
Every row carries the article it comes from, and the provenance line beneath each table names the instrument and the date the text was consulted: 1 January 2021. If a figure here disagrees with your notice, the article cited is where the disagreement can be settled.

The figures
What the catalogue currently holds
The heaviest rows are the ones that touch the licence as well as the wallet. Prohibited overtaking under art. 148 co. 16 carries from € 167 to € 665, 10 points and a suspension of 1 to 3 months. Driving without compulsory insurance under art. 193 co. 2 carries from € 866 to € 3.464 and 5 points, doubled on a repeat. The middle speeding band of art. 142 co. 9 carries from € 543 to € 2.170, 6 points and 1 to 3 months.
The ones people meet most often are lighter but not trivial. A red light is from € 167 to € 665 and 6 points. Using a phone at the wheel is from € 250 to € 1.000, 5 points and a suspension reaching 0 to 2 months — amounts raised by ordinary legislation (L. 25 novembre 2024, n. 177) rather than by the index mechanism, which is why they sit well above their neighbours. A seatbelt is from € 83 to € 332 and 5 points; a helmet, from € 83 to € 332 and 5 points. Failing to carry documents is from € 42 to € 173 — the same comma sets a lower band for ciclomotori (mopeds), from € 26 to € 102, and the two are never the same corridor.
And some rows carry money but no points at all, because the annexed table simply has no entry for the article: an expired roadworthiness test at from € 173 to € 694 is the clearest example, and it is a complete absence in the source rather than something we failed to find.
In detail
What this catalogue is not
It is a representative subset of the statute, not a complete tariff. Italian traffic law has no single fine catalogue in the sense the German and Austrian national tariff tables provide: the amounts live in the individual articles, each with its own corridor, and any site presenting a complete tariff table has assembled it from somewhere.
3 of our 10 categories carry no rows at all. They stay reachable — listed separately beneath the index rather than as cards promising a table — because the questions behind them are real and measurable, restricted traffic zones above all, and their pages say plainly that the table is empty and why rather than borrowing figures we cannot cite.
Every amount here is also bounded by a decree that is due before the end of 2026 and takes effect on 1 January 2027. We predict nothing about it. The index it will be based on cannot exist until the two-year period closes, the decree does not exist, and the suspension of the mechanism has already been extended repeatedly — the last comparable variation was, in fact, negative.
